Wotbitz - A case study
Wotbitz are motorcycle Dismantlers who based in Dagenham, Essex, supply and buy new and used parts for all kinds of bikes from scooters to high performance sports bikes. In addition they also supply a wide range of second hand biles to drive away.
With their branding and colour schemes already in place,
Wotbitz required that company identity to be transfered online. Recognising the power of the web, with regards to sales, from their sister company
'Sudden Impact', Wotbitz wanted to advertise their ground breaking services and available stock to as wide a market as possible.
The warehouse often has items in stock which are worth
advertising online as well as any number of drive away deals which naturally change on a regular basis.
This information is stored in a custom built Access database and only those items currently in stock are shown on the website. Users can browse
through the products, illustrated by thumbnails and basic information, before selecting an item to view a larger image and more detail. Each product page
has a direct link to the contact page. Pre-populating the contact form with a request for more information, encourages more sales enquiries.
The online stock section can be managed by any of the company's staff
through the password protected content management system. Items can be easily added, updated or removed at the click of the button. The system allows a
picture to be taken straight of a digital camera, uploaded and processed into 2 seperate images of the correct sizes to represent thumbnail and detailed
pictures. This leads to optimised page download times and better quality output.
